Based in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, this 45-person studio has built a strong reputation across the multi-residential and mixed-use sectors. The team works on a varied mix of projects, from boutique infill developments through to larger mixed-use schemes, and prides itself on staying involved across the full project journey rather than handing work off between phases.
The studio is looking for a registered architect who wants breadth in their role, someone who can size up a site's potential early on, help shape the design response, and stay across the detail as projects move into documentation and delivery.
What the role involves
Reviewing sites at feasibility stage, including yield, planning constraints and early concept testing
Contributing to and leading schematic design and design development
Producing detailed construction and tender documentation
Coordinating with consultants and resolving technical issues as projects progress
Working across multi-residential and mixed-use projects, from early ideas through to delivery
Liaising directly with clients and building working relationships over time
About you
You're a registered architect with 5–8 years' local experience
You've worked on multi-residential and/or mixed-use projects and understand what makes them work
You've had exposure to feasibility studies, not just design development onward
You're confident using Revit day to day
You like variety, and you're not looking to be boxed into one stage of a project
You communicate well and can hold your own in front of clients and consultants
On offer
Salary commensurate with experience
A CBD location, easy to get to and close to everything
Genuine involvement across the whole project lifecycle
A team of around 45, offering scale without losing a collaborative feel
Steady project flow and long-term stability
Interested? We'd love to hear from you.
$80,000 - $100,000 + Superannuation

We're looking for a mid-level designer to join a Melbourne-based studio. This is a solid next step for someone who's been working under senior guidance and is ready to take on more — not a dramatic leap, just a natural progression.
The role
You'll work alongside seniors on more complex projects while running smaller jobs independently with documenter support. Day to day, that means contributing meaningfully to design development, managing your own workload across a project, and starting to build direct relationships with clients. You'll have a real reporting line into the Head of Design and enough room to develop your own approach, without being left without support when you need it.
The Melbourne project mix is predominantly commercial interiors across spec fit-outs, lift lobby upgrades and end-of-trip facilities, alongside tenant fit-outs across a range of sectors. There's also an exciting heritage retrofit work in the mix. It's a varied load with consistent volume.
What we're looking for
You're comfortable across Revit, InDesign, and Enscape. Technically, you're in a good place. Where you're still growing is the softer stuff: client communication, running a room, making calls independently. You don't need to have that fully sorted, but you should be actively working on it and open to learning.
Attitude matters here as much as technical ability. Curiosity, a genuine appetite to learn, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment are weighted just as heavily as what's on your CV. The technical craft is teachable; the mindset isn't.
D&C exposure is useful background if you have it, but we're not treating it as a filter.
How the team works
The first three months are fully in-office. It's how the studio brings people in, builds trust, and makes sure you actually absorb how things work before settling into a rhythm. After that, the expectation is three days per week in-office (with the rest from home), providing genuine flexibility around personal commitments.
$85,000 - $100,000 + Superannuation | 2 days WFH (post probation)

A design-led architecture studio with a well-established Melbourne base expanded into Sydney several years ago, and hasn't looked back. The practice delivers thoughtful, high-quality, varied work across Melbourne, Brisbane & Sydney, with social and affordable housing a genuine specialty, involving close, ongoing collaboration with clients, consultants, government stakeholders and delivery partners.
Following two new project wins and a healthy NSW pipeline, the Sydney studio is expanding, and the practice continues to deliver major work through its interstate studios. It's an agile, multi-city operation that pairs timeless design leadership with strong documentation resolution and dependable delivery across the varied project portfolio spanning single residential through to large mixed-use developments.
The opportunity
As Project Architect, you'll lead a small project team and own significant social housing projects, from design development through documentation and tender. You'll work closely with internal colleagues and external consultants to keep projects coordinated, technically sound, and delivered to a high standard.
This is a delivery role. Day-to-day, you'll be supporting a Principal to:
Lead projects through design development, construction documentation and tender
Coordinate consultants and provide technical leadership (this is a large component of the role)
Lead a small project team
Manage project timelines and delivery milestones
What you'll bring
Experience as a Project Architect
Hands-on delivery experience, from design development through construction documentation locally on medium to large scale projects
Revit proficiency (essential)
A track record coordinating consultants and leading small teams
Confidence managing project timelines
Social housing experience is a strong plus, though not essential
What's on offer
$105,000–$120,000 plus superannuation
Full-time, CBD-based, with one flex day to work from home
A move to a larger, central Sydney office in the next two to three months
Genuine ownership of high-impact projects
A stable, collaborative and vibrant studio culture backed by a strong multi-city pipeline
If you're a Project Architect with strong delivery chops and an interest in social housing, we'd love to hear from you, as this is an immediate hire.
$110,000 - $120,000 + Superannuation | 1 day WFH
